Magnolia grandiflora Alta

Height: 1,2 m

Magnolia Alta is a columnar evergreen shrub or small tree that grows to about 4-6 meters in height and 1.5-2.5 meters in width. Its large, white, cup-shaped, strongly fragrant flowers bloom continuously from early summer to early autumn. Its crown is dense and conical. It keeps its dark green, glossy, leathery, elongated, narrow leaves all year round. Loose, well-draining, nutrient-rich, neutral or slightly acidic soil is ideal for it. Its water needs are high, and during longer droughts it requires regular watering. It needs winter protection for 2-3 years after planting. It can be planted as a specimen plant in larger gardens.
